Your First Visit – What to Expect

At Mills Orthodontics, your first visit sets the foundation for your orthodontic journey. We know visiting a new office can feel a little overwhelming—especially for kids—so we’ve designed this appointment to be comfortable, welcoming, and completely painless. Here’s how it works:

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by our friendly team and given a quick tour of the office. You’ll also meet Dr. Macie Mills, who is here to listen, guide, and make sure you feel at ease.

One of our highly trained treatment coordinators will walk you through each step of the visit. We’ll take a few digital photos and, if needed, low-radiation orthodontic X-rays to clearly evaluate your teeth, bite, and jaw alignment. These images help us understand your smile and determine the most effective treatment options.

After reviewing your records, Dr. Mills will meet with you in a private consultation room to discuss a personalized treatment plan. She’ll take time to understand your goals, answer your questions, and explain her recommendations in a clear, thoughtful way. Nothing is rushed—we make sure you feel informed and confident before moving forward.

Your treatment coordinator will then guide you through the next steps, including scheduling, what to expect during treatment, and flexible financial options. Our goal is simple: no surprises and no unanswered questions.
